Woken up with a runny nose or feel under the weather? Worried it may be Covid-19, a cold or the flu? With one swab, this test will allow you to quickly tell you if you have the flu, COVID-19 or Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), which can cause colds.

Infections with SARS-CoV-2, Influenza A&B and/or RSV have similar symptoms, but this test will allow you to confirm which infection you have so that you can take the appropriate action.

This RT-PCR test will test the presence of the following viruses:.

  1. SARS-CoV-2, the respiratory coronavirus pathogen which is responsible for COVID-19.
  2. Influenza, also called flu, is a contagious respiratory disease caused by influenza viruses. Influenza A and B are the most common types and this test can differentiate between them. A flu infection causes mild to severe illness but can be serious and even lethal.
  3. Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a virus that causes cold-like symptoms and infects the upper and lower respiratory tract. Infants and young children are especially at risk of developing a severe RSV infection resulting in hospitalisation.

If you test positive or you do not feel well enough to go to work or carry out normal activities, you should stay home and avoid contact with other people. For more information please see the UK government website.

To get tested, buy your 4-in-1 PCR Test today and select the type of testing and delivery you need at checkout.

Please note you can only select one shipping option per order (e.g. postal or in-store). If you wish to have multiple shipping options (e.g. 1 x in-store + 1 x postal) you must make two separate orders/transactions.

What is the difference between the four respiratory viruses?

SARS-CoV-2 is the respiratory coronavirus pathogen which is responsible for COVID-19. If you have a positive COVID-19 test result, it is very likely that you have COVID-19 even if you do not have any symptoms. You can pass on the infection to others, even if you have no symptoms. If you have a positive COVID-19 test result, you should stay home and avoid contact with other people for 5 days after the day you took your test. For more information visit https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus.

Influenza, also called flu, is a contagious respiratory disease caused by influenza viruses. Influenza A and B are the most common types and this test can differentiate between them. It impacts the nose, throat, and sometimes the lungs. A flu infection causes mild to severe illness but can be serious and even lethal.

Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a virus that causes cold-like symptoms and infects the upper and lower respiratory tract. Infants and young children are especially at risk of developing a severe RSV infection resulting in hospitalisation.

I’m due to travel and require a COVID-19 test, is this suitable?

No this is not suitable for travel. Please select the COVID-19 travel test with which you will receive a 'fit to fly' certificate and a report signed by a doctor that you can use as your fit-to-fly / travel certificate.

Ordering your kit via post

  • Select free shipping on checkout
  • Your kit will be dispatched from our warehouse - you will receive an email with tracking details once your kit has been dispatched
  • Your kit will be shipped using the Royal Mail First Class Tracked service (Please note that we do not post kits on weekends or bank holidays and there is no postal delivery on a Sunday. We provide a Royal Mail Next Day Tracked service but please allow for potential postal delays).
  • For postal samples, you should receive your test result via email by the evening of the day our lab has received your sample.

Please note you can only select one shipping option per order (e.g. postal or in-store). If you wish to have multiple shipping options (e.g. 1 x in-store + 1 x postal) you must make two separate orders/transactions.

When will I receive my results?

For in-store tests, the results will be available at the latest the next day after delivery to our lab. For postal samples, you should receive your test result via email by the evening of the day our lab has received your sample.

If you need a ‘fit-to-fly’ certificate urgently for a flight, then it is recommended you use our in-store or courier service and select a COVID-19 travel test. These methods ensure that your sample can be delivered to us on the same day. The delivery times of traditional postage cannot be guaranteed and can therefore delay the time you receive your result.

For the full terms and conditions of our next day results test, please see our Terms & Conditions page for more information.

Where are the in-store testing locations?

Many of our London Medical Laboratory clinics are open 7-days a week and are situated across London and the UK. A full list of our over 70 locations can be found here.

Please note you can only select one shipping option per order (e.g. postal or in-store). If you wish to have multiple shipping options (e.g. 1 x in-store + 1 x postal) you must make two separate orders/transactions.
